AMofW - Mahou Sensei Negima

MSN is a Ken Akamatsu manga. That pretty much says enough. Excellent drawing, meh story, great fanservice, strange humor, and super cute girls.
When it started (way too long ago), it was a great read. Nowadays, with the school festival arc, I just get the feeling the same joke has been going on for too long and it just doesn’t cut it anymore. I really like the characters, (and Negi is rather bearable as a male lead) but the story itself just seems… messy. I’m not sure if it’s the translations, but it’s just not as enjoyable anymore. Not to say it’s bad manga. It just seems to have lost some of the charm that the first few volumes had.
MSN also has the honor of having my favorite two girls in manga, Konoka and Setsuna. In fact, since the whole story seems to have gone down the drain, it’s pretty much the only reason I still read it. Konoka is just so. damn. cute. And Setsuna is the perfect “partner” for her, if you get my drift *wink wink*
Overall, it’s a fun read. I enjoyed until volumes 8, where I felt it started going downhill. Some of my friends still like it a lot, so it might be just me.
